Why we started RestartHub
A layoff can take away a job overnight. It shouldn't take away your network, your confidence or your next opportunity.
Our story
RestartHub was started by people who have spent years in IT and watched friends and colleagues lose their jobs in round after round of layoffs at companies like Microsoft, Meta and Amazon. Many of them had a decade or more of experience, yet found themselves job hunting alone, scrolling job boards and sending applications into silence.
At the same time, companies kept telling us the same thing: they had real projects that needed experienced people, but couldn't justify a full-time hire. And many of the people we knew had startup ideas they'd never had time to pursue.
RestartHub brings those needs together in one place: a trusted community where tech professionals can reconnect with people like them, take on project work, and team up to build something new.
What we believe
Experience doesn't expire. Years of skills and judgement are valuable, with or without a current job title.
No one should search alone. Peers who've been through it are the best support and the best referrals.
